Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship

The Jack Kent Cooke Program is an opportunity for high achieving high school seniors with financial need who are pursuing top four-year colleges.
Students will also receive educational advising, cohort-based programming, graduate school funding, and a large network of almost 3,200 Cooke Scholars and alumni.
The scholarship itself includes last dollar funding after all institutional aid and can provide as much as $55,000 per year in college. The scholarship also includes personal advising about selecting a college and advising on how to transition to college and maximize your experience.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation looks for leadership, persistence, academic ability and achievement when selecting applicants.
Applicants must be a current high school senior, must intend to enroll in a four-year college in fall 2026, have a minimum GPA of 3.75, must submit test scores from one of the following: SAT, ACT, AP, or IB exam, and must demonstrate unmet financial need. In the application, applicants will need two academic recommendations, one counselor recommendation, a school report, and your transcript.
The deadline for this application is Nov. 12, 2025, semifinalists are announced January 2026, and scholarship recipients are announced in March 2026!
Elks National Foundation’s Most Valuable Student Scholarship

The Elks National Foundation’s Most Valuable Student scholarship is a four-year scholarship for U.S. high school seniors who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university in the United States.
Elks will award 500 four-year scholarships to the most competitive applicant for the 2026 pool with male and female students competing separately. The scholarship ranges from $1,000-$7,500 per year in the form of certificates of award.
Applicants must be current high school seniors, must be citizens of the United States, and have plans to enroll in a four-year undergraduate degree program at accredited United States colleges or universities.
The Elks National Foundation’s MVP scholarship focuses on applicants’ demonstrated leadership, academic achievement/record, community involvement, and financial need. You DO NOT need to submit ACT or SAT scores! The application deadline is Nov. 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
The 500 winners of the scholarship will be announced in April 2026. On top of being awarded the scholarship, the top 20 MVS scholars will receive an invitation to the MVS Leadership Weekend as well as an additional $30,000.
Senior year is a stressful time for us all, but there are resources available to help you through your college application/scholarship process in the Hollywood High College Center! The college counselors are able to review your application and writing, and if they aren’t available there are peer counselors available in almost every period. The college application process is not easy, don’t be afraid to ask for help!
